Triton Extension

Triton Extension, Port Douglas QLD – Completed in 2007

This project was a curious combination of renovation and extension works to a typical masonry block property.

The brief called for complete privacy to the street front including a new carport encroaching within the mandatory front boundary reserve, as the existing garage was to be converted into a bedroom suite and storage facility.

The outcome is a successful resolution, a simple horizontal floating plane clad in H1 durability timber which addresses the street with elegance, whilst providing the practical function of carport and entry.

The project provides a sophisticated and iconic facade to what was a property in need of serious attention.
